Guest Information

Rate/Payment Policy:
All rates are subject to applicable sales tax. Rates are based on payment in cash, check or credit card. Deposits of ~40% are required to reserve a cabin, campsite or boat and balance due is payable upon check-in.

Deposits:
Deposits may be refunded if the cabin or campsite is booked by another party. Balance of reservation is due upon arrival. Entire reservation is guests’ responsibility. NOTE: Call for deposit policy on requests for multiple cabins by the same family or party. Guests are responsible for cost of damages to resort property.

Cancellations: 
Guests are responsible for the entire reservation.  Deposit will be refunded when, and only if, your cabin or camping spot has been filled with a new reservation minus a $100 processing fee. If the reservation is not rebooked, you are financially responsible for the entire reservation.

Check-in/Check-out Policy:  
All guests must stop at the office to check-in and register. If a late arrival is expected (after 7:00 pm), please notify the resort office to make arrangements.

Cabin:

  • Check-In is 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Check-Out is 8:00 am

Camping:

  • Check-In is 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday
  • Check-In is 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday to Friday
  • Check-Out is 10:00 am on Saturday
  • Check-Out is Noon Sunday to Friday

Visitor Policy:  
Visitors must check in at the office before proceeding to visit any guest and are expected to depart prior to Quiet Hours. Guests are responsible for their visitors. A visitor is anyone who is not a registered guest and stays more than 15 minutes. We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors. Visitors are subject to an additional charge of $10/day.

Pet Policy:
We welcome well behaved pets with current rabies vaccinations. Pet fees are $20/night ($100/week) for cabins and $15/night ($75/week) for campsites. All pets must be leashed at all times and cannot be left unattended. Pets are not allowed on cabin furniture or in the beach/swim area. Owners are responsible for clean-up, accidents and damage.

Firewood:
Cabin and campsite firewood is complimentary to our guests and can be obtained from the wood huts located throughout the resort. Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished prior to bedtime or departure. Please be considerate of other guests when burning.

Note: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources regulations state it is illegal to bring firewood into state parks, state forest campgrounds, or day-use areas unless purchased from an approved vendor. In order to protect our wooded habitats, we are also abiding by this law and prohibiting guests from bringing wood onto Northern Lights Resort property. We appreciate your cooperation in these efforts.

What to Bring:
Cabins are well equipped with the basics. Bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets) as well as toilet paper, paper towels and kitchen equipment are provided by the resort. Guests should bring the following items: Bath towels, kitchen towels, wash clothes, shampoo, bath soap, general toiletries, hair dryer, charcoal, lighter fluid, picnic table clothes and boat battery charger/exterior extension cord..
